Maska, a modern-authentic neighbourhood Bombay bakery knows this all too well. The hearty goods made from one’s own passed-down recipe, recall that feeling of breaking bread with our loved ones. This tradition is what keeps the tea time table at home alive, which is exactly what Maska wants to preserve.

A HOMAGE TO ART DECO AND EVERYTHING SWEET
We designed a custom made identity for Maska Bakery, taking inspiration from the Art deco arches of Bombay and married it to the rising of the famous buttery bun pav. The identity is a recognisable collection of custom made letters that brings focus on the word Maska - timeless, memorable and extremely Bombay! Just like the inspiration of deco and handwritten letters on Bandra houses, the identity is geometric and symmetrical in its forms, yet has a softness to it. The long lines and subtle curves reflect our inspiration making it a modern, yet iconic form.
The color palette we chose for this project is elegant, yet joyful — Bombay blue, Butter yellow, and Chocolate brown.

JOY, YOUR FRIENDLY NEIGHBOURHOOD GUY
Joy is the brand mascot for Maska. His personality mimics that of butter and is a playful character that frolics around Bombay, spreading and delivering joy.
